Can someone point me in the right direction to a few podcast audio software packages. Also, would I be able to use my Senn. ME-66 mic for podcasts? I'm trying to put together a package of podcasts and videocasts for an ad agency I'm working at.

you mean you want to make podcasts? the iLife suite might be able to handle that if you dont get too complex

yeah i'm pretty sure it's going to get a little complex. it will need to be good quality because we're going to place it into consumers hands.

well you have the quality mic so thats where the sound quality will be coming from. Garageband will add chapter markers and pictures into the podcast for you as well. Video casting im not familiar with , but you should give it a shot just a test run, i made one before.

But ill check for other software for all the options, not trying to be biased or anything and say you should use something specific, just mentioning just incase you hadnt tried it, its pretty versatile and even though its iLife , it can still create some great stuff in the right hands. :)

cynic821,

thanks a lot...i will give it a try this weekend. i guess i shouldn't get to complex because i'm the one that's going to be doing all of the production. :) thanks again...

Np.

I was playing with it a little just now and its pretty fun, it connects with your OS X librarby of content :itunes playlists, videos, photos etc... and works almost like a radio show where you record your voice and can add all those things as the play list goes and pause and what not then publish.

Heres a search of Macupdate.com for podcasting software , some free other shareware:
