So I know sweet FA about podcasting. Does anyone know what type of file I should be outputting? QT, Flash, data rate and all that. I'm kinda going for 320 x 240 1mbs stream but don't really know. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

Go with either WM or QT. If you go with QT use the H.264 (mpeg-4 variation) compression.

Did you catch the link I gave you for Feedburner in your last thread?

btw, podcast is one word.

Thanks Terry, I've got it now, somehow I missed it before. Podcast, podcast podcast...Got that too. H.264 it is...Thanks again:)

Hey Terry, is the h.264 a requirement? I ask because I'm getting much better quality and file sizes using sv3 pro.

No, you don't have to use H.264. In fact, you'll get much smaller file sizes with other compression schemes, but H.264 does look great (especially if there is a lot of motion in your video).

You can use other mpeg-4 compressions and will get smaller file sizes, but podcasts aren't really meant to 'stream'. They are generally downloaded and played back later (with an iPod, for instance).

Also, you could compress it as an H.264 and as a more heavily compressed mp4 and offer viewers an option on file size v. quality.
