Pocket Wizard mini jack... same as audio jack?

Hi,

I was looking for a mono mini male to mini male cable for my pocketwizard at BH. 18 bucks is just a ridiculous price for a cable. So Im wondering if I can use an audio mono mini male to mini male cable that you find at electronic stores as an alternative.

Would my monolights blow up if I use that?

Hey

I just got a mono mini to mono mini 1/8th, plugged it in to PW and my monolight. Doesnt work. Am I missing something here? Please help cause I dont wanna buy the PW $18 version

Does it not have to be a TRS jack?

Check out www.FlashZebra.com... They have some decently priced cables and such for of camera flash!

Just buy the proper cable. Pocket wizards are too expensive to risk dammaging.
