PNY GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER or PNY GeForce RTX 5070 per videoediting?

Hello,
I make only 4K video editing. I deliberately don't want to mention my hardware because I'd like to know your thoughts. Would you buy the PNY GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER or PNY GeForce RTX 5070 for videoediting?
I ordered the graphics card PNY GeForce RTX 5070 and it will arrive tomorow.
But I'm afraid I made the wrong purchase and will return it for the other one.
What are your thoughts? Which of the two graphics cards would you buy?
I hope anyone familiar with the world of graphics cards can answer me as soon as possible.

If you are editing 4K from a Panasonic GH camera, making simple (straightforward) videos for YouTube, you could do far worse than either...I mean, those are both powerful cards; what are your primary concerns?

I don't post on youtube,
Although it sometimes took me a few minutes of my videos. But they're crap.
I shoot 4K videos only for me to watch them on large 4K TVs or projectors.
But they are of fairly professional quality. I appreciate the quality of the video.

Your question is too generic to answer; not that I have an answer. Secondly, why do you prefer one over the other? What did you read that made you come to this conclusion?


"I make 4k video editing". Editing meaning what? Do you just cut picture? Do you grade your images? Do you add complex special effects? What editing software(s) do you use? What is your editing computer processor and memory?

Do you expect special effects and other processing to play back in real time? Do you add noise reduction to your video (big power grabber for graphics cards).

What are your expectations regarding performance? Some people can tolerate long rendering times and others can't.

Is your editing software graphics processor dependent or does it do most of its processing with the CPU?

Ok, now ignoring all that, 'in general', those two will both perform pretty well. Without any specifics of what you are trying to do, who can say.

I understand you perfectly. You are right.
But ... just out of curiosity.
I know RTX 4070 SUPER is a bit less--performance than PNY GeForce RTX 5070.
Who wouldn't want to use 4:2:2 for better post-production grading if they edit 4K video? So, for better grading. if you edit 4:2:2, maybe the RTX 5070 is a good choice in my opinion, even though I've read that RTX 5070 is not as reliable as the RTX 4070. Right?
