Plugin manager for AE?

I have added some new plugins for AE and now it is really slow to open. It takes several minutes! Could this be because of the many plugins I have installed in the plugin folder? How do you work around this? Do you use some sort of plugin manager and only load the one you need?

You dont need alot of plugs for AE. trim down what you got and if you need them in the future, you can reinstall them.
