plug ins

newbie question here I am using PPro 2 and have a disc with some different premiere plug ins. I installed a few but when I open a project in PPro 2 I don't see the plug ins, are they supposed to be listed in the effects area? Could it be that they are older versions and PPro 2 doesn't support them? I loaded FilmFX 2.0 and crystal 3d vortex into the plug in file folder, but they don't seem to be showing up in Premiere. Any Ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

There's a good chance that these plug-ins are not compatable with PPro2. You should check with the plug-in developer and Adobe.

thanks for the reply chuck. How do you like PPro I have an HVX and use canopus edius to edit for now but want to get in PPRO since it seems to have better features not to mention working well with After Effects, I just wish they would support native MXF files as easily as Canopus does.

I like PPro2.

In preperation for the HVX, figuring out an HD workflow etc., I purchased an inexpensive Sony HC1 and started editing HDV with 1.5.1 using AspectHD. Everything worked great.

Then when PPro2 was released I continued to use the Digital Intermediate workflow using AspectHD, got a Sony FX1 and everything is working very well. Recently I edited a project that was shot with the JVC JY100 and mastered to a HDPro DVD and it was amazing.

I believe AspectHD works with the HVX but I have not tried it.
