plug in's for fcp

no im new to this site i just found it like 3 days ago so i was just seein what people had to say , i didnt know it would piss someone of i wasnt try to do that man

I think the point the Captain is making is that after being on this site for years as some of us have been, it gets a bit tiresome when somebody new pops in and asks a question that's been asked ad nauseum.

If you "love" something, you should be willing to put forth a little effort. And really, doing a search isn't asking for much.
 
Indeed, Jim -- exactly what I meant.

The other part of that is: Plugins shouldn't be used unless you really understand what you want to happen. And a general hey, what plugins are out there for FCP leaves one with the feeling that you want a plugin to fix your crappy video.

Now... if you went to GOOGLE and typed FCP Plugins and got THIS:

And then came back and said something like... hey - I saw Stib's filters... how do they hold up? Nattress seems to be a big name in filters and effects... how are people using his stuff?

Or -- Wow... I really need some cool effect to make my crappy video stand out above the rest... any suggestions?

To post: Where can I get free tutorials and where can I get free plugins in two different posts on the same day just SHOUT to me that someone here (OP) isn't self-driven in this profession and bought (or worse) a $1200 program that they shouldn't be using.

But that's just me. Please don't figure everyone on this site will have the same chip on thier shoulder as me. But I like my position.

No... not the point!!! If you think it is, you are part of the problem!

The point is people need to learn to think for themselves. If your client is sitting in the chair handing you $100 bills every hour you need to figure it out and not wait for someone to reply to a post on a forum.

Congratulations on setting expectations that are now your standards.

wow this got blown way out of proportion i agree with everyones thing i should have shearched on the site but at the time i didnt know there was a search beacuase i didnt really look and dont get me wrong i bought the program and know how to use it to its basic extent and i am extremly passionate about filming, just like all of u are im sure, so sry once again if i seemed like iw as tryin to mooch off people casue thats not whats i was tryin to do i was try to jsut find something that i for go my search

Good enough. Don't take it personnel. All I know about you and your passion is what you wrote in the first (and now this) post.

Don't be afraid to post here... just try and be specific if you are looking for help.

Feel free to go off topic as long as it can relate to FCP and/or Editing in someway.
