Plug adapter for 2k studio light?

I just bought a light from this website (pyramid films):

and it says on the website it will work on "Can plug into any house hold circuit."

Much to my dismay the plug looks like a studio plug.

Is there an adapter I can buy to make this work with a household plug? Or can I just remove this one and add a normal plug from lowes or home depot? This is a 2k light so I assume it would have to be pretty high tolerance. Any advice?

just remove the bates connector and replace it with an edison male end. You should get one rated for up to 20amps, but I have always been fine with 15amp plugs.

So all the 20 amp edison plugs have one leg (I guess its the hot lead) which is horizonal instead of vertical like this:

Under the 20amp section.

My washing room has a 20 amp circut for the dryer (which is a standard 2 prong edison, go figure), and most houses have 30-50 amp or more for the dryer and stove. I saw you can buy an adapter for those kinds of plugs at home depot, would that work?

Awsome, thanks for the film tools link.... I might pick that up if home depot does not have what i need. Thanks.

an adapter is just a waste of money, you will have no problem finding what you need at the home depot.
