define affordable?

I like the Cartoni Action Pro which can be found under 600

Bogen tends to be the cheapest with a decent fluid head in the 400 range, but I've never been a Bogen fan.

really good tripods start around 1200 and the skies the limit.

Thanks 4 ur reply.
I was really thinking something between -200-300 range used one...?
Hum .. $500 is way out of my budget ,,
Any other ideas?
Thanks

Spend at least $200 - $300 for something that won't fall apart. Just don't expect much for $200-300. You'll need to spend around $1500 for a smooth pan. Below this range, the pan and tilt movements become less smooth the cheaper you go. You get what you pay for. There is no such thing as a free lunch.
