Zach - Curious, what do you think the other "chick" was doing that you consider "cheating or something"?? Besides this thread, DJQuikFingaz LIED and used his 3 year status, on a VERY popular forum, to get even more votes than here. (He even rewarded voters by giving passwords to porn sites.) And notice how many people voted 2 & 3 times. Stop me if you feel this might be in your definition of "cheating or something."

A few months ago I won the DVXfest. I wear that honor with pride because it was a fair victory. I didn't go on other message boards and ask people to "Help Me Out". I didn't ask friends/family to "Help Me Out." The win was based on one thing, the video (and my sexy smile). That's what's great about the DVXfest and that's whats wrong with all of this. How's your girlfriend going to wear her victory?

What really sucks is that your girlfriend is gorgeous and she could have won an honest victory, if you and other contestants didn't get greedy. This is suppose to be "Who is the Most Beautiful" NOT "Who Spams the Most." These are real people we're effecting, not just images on a screen.

I'm just as tired of this preaching as you all. But this kind of crap ticks me off!

P.S. Some might think this is trivial, but I'm sure the contestants don't. They found sponsors. They had professional photos taken. I'm sure this is important to them, much like submitting a film to a festival is important to us (but not others).
 
PK has a valid point. Zach your girlfriend's really beautiful, and I'm sure she would've won without the extra help.

But if she does win this, it will probably have been because of the extra help.
 
I suppose if any of these girls was looking for a career in acting, modeling, or anything in being professionally pretty . . .

They're going to find out sooner or later how brutal, harsh, unfair, and lopsided that world is.
 
Just so you know, you can change your vote. I wrote to the webmaster at: webmaster@appledumplingfest.com He said it was alright to do so. You just have to write to the guy and forward your confirmation email and he'll delete your vote and that will allow you to vote again, and fairly this time.

There's not much you can do about the votes from the car website, but if anyone wants to they can treat this like a fair contest and vote who they think should win.

I still think Stephanie's the hottest, but all you Krystal fans (PK) and Cycy (Bluespider) fans can get your say in.
 
Sorry you feel that way PK. I was raised on that forum and love the people on it because of their cut-throat sense of humor. As for the porn, well if you know anything about that site, it's what they thrive on. Type "warning" in the search engine and you'll get mulitiple pages of porn posts. Call it "me being young" or just mean, I don't care, it's how I react to these types of things.

Like I said, if these people running these internet voting contests don't want a bunch of peple abusing it, find a better way to keep em out ( I already suggested alternatives to their current system).

So are you basically saying that Presidential races are not won fairly? By going what you wrote, it's how I see it. Both candidates slam each other with tv ads and talk this-and-that about the other. Is it campaigning or spamming? It's everywhere, even in high school prom. Students splashing banners "vote for me!" Some people want to do whatever it takes to win whether it be Presidents or prom queens.

PK, you are such a level-headed, reasonable guy. We think in the same circles; you vocalize much better than me. Thanks! (And I hope your helmet drive goes well. i'm gutting a house right now, so i can't afford to send cash.)

Isaac, I submitted for a re-vote. I feel good about trying to make it right. I think Jennifer High is a really cute, nice girl who would get along with anybody. So I'll vote for Jen if I get the chance.

And Isaac, *we are* better than that. I forget that sometimes when I post. But I've never been around such a group of dedicated, sincere professionals before. There's a lot of young filmmakers who are members here, and I can't think of a more supportive environment for them to be in. And they are wise beyond their years. I'm thrilled that, at 31, I'm learning from 17-year-olds. Just awesome.

This is a forum with decorum. (sorry that rhymes, but it's true.)
