I'm guessing the Journal link is for the news page, maybe you should rename one or the other to be consistent. The layout is very basic, which might be what you were going for, to help make it look like more of real "news" post. I like your promotion concept (very Blairwitch)

Trailer looked great by the way all though someone that is prone to seizures might not want to watch:) The YouTube compression wasn't bad either all though you'll have people asking for quicktime in no time.

Thanks, Jeremy -- really helpful. Yep, we want to make the film look a little "underground". But I might end up putting a link to the H.264.

And, as you say, the layout is very basic. We made some fancier stuff at first, but it looked too "corporate".

Lookin good! Loads quick. I'd second that people are going to want a quicktime as well. Maybe just a download link, etc.
 
Everything loads VERY fast. All links worked, and only took a couple of seconds to activate/action to next page.

Interesting 'real' concept you've got going on here! :thumbsup:
 
Loads great (but I'm on DSL), scary stuff. What number is that you're using BTW? Is that the production company number?

sharp, fast and clean. I would suggest putting a header on the page so the video isn't jammed to the very top. that's solely a layout issue but it's easier to watch. just a header saying the name of the movie or whatever. when I view your site I feel like there is something above the movie that I am unable to see if you know what I mean.

that being said you should maybe post some link somewhere clarifying that this is not real (legal disclaimer on the bottom or something like that). remember there are a lot of not-so-smart people out there who will think you are earning money by selling snuff. and THAT might lead to some "unwanted attention" from authorities. just a tip :o)

We got that number just for the film. It's a Skype In number. So any phone on the planet (cell or landline) can call the number. And it has voicemail.:thumbup:

Really good point, Morten. We are trying to balance this just right. I'd hate to ruin the illusion for people who "get it" but are still scared/unsettled by the film. On the other hand, I'm in no hurry to have a chat with the FBI.:huh: (And good call about the header!)

if I would you I would put a small line with "legal disclaimer" at the very very bottom of the page that leads to a legal disclaimer stating in complicated and confusing legal terms that it is in fact fictional. That way you cover your ass when people start spazzing without ruining the illusion for the rest of us :o)

I don't like the way the video is on top of the page, but it loaded fast, nice
sharp images, some really nice composites.
