I dunno, that whole trailer looks somehow... familiar...

Of course, seeing Burt Reynolds in an LOTR-meets-Matrix-meets-whatever-else-they-can-throw-in-there kind of just adds an amazing surreal quality to it.
How did he manage to get such a cast? For that matter, how did he also get Ben Kingsley in his Bloodrayne travesty? Trailer for that is already out, btw
Plot Outline: A man named Farmer sets out to rescue his kidnapped wife and avenge the death of his son -- two acts committed by the Krugs, a race of animal-warriors who are controlled by the evil Gallian.
Am I imagining things, or was there a film on MST3K with the same storyline? If not, then there should of been...
Can you think what the pitch for this nugget must have sounded like?
I've read that there is a hole in Germany's tax loop that allows for funding of his movies. Basically, if you invest in a movie production and it's not successful you're getting a huge cut on your taxes. As most of Boll's investors happen to be from Germany, they are saving enormous amounts of money by dumping some of it into his hands. And, as long as he keeps making his crap, they're not only paying much less taxes, they're also getting their %s of DVD sales, if there are any. A win-win situation.
Don't know if it's true, but it's amazing if it is...
