Please recommend Lighting for large event

Shooting a large wedding next week and looking to rent the right equipment to illuminate the dancing floor, which accounts for as much as 600 sq/f.

The existing ambient light is very dim. I have two Tota lights (2x750W) but they are far from being enough.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

Weddings do pose a problem when it comes to lighting up the reception area, especially dark ones, as I have given up on the idea of lighting them up myself. First, if you use those 750 watt bulbs, especially 3 or more of them, you really must make sure that the circuits can handle the amperage draw, if not, the DJ may be without music for a while. I have a very simple and effective way to deal with the problem. 1- I tell the bride that if the maitre D does not brighten up the place a bit "You will have a very dark and sombre video to look at forever" 2- I politely ASK not TELL the maitre D to PLEASE brighten up the place a bit. They really have an attitude towards being told what to do. Don,t forget , the electricity will be used up either way. By your lights or his. If he says no. talk to the bride.
