Please listen to this .mp3

I can hear it. It has that 'ambient hiss' like the sound of 'blank air'. I wouldn't use it unless I can remove that audio 'white noise'.

(Can I add more 'Quotes'?)

LOL

I can hear a sort of shuffle reverberation or some such thing at peak times, I didn't hear any white noise. You should be able to have adobe audition clean it out without too much problem. Did you post in the audio formum? You get some relly good advice re the right kind of filter to use sometimes.

thanks all for listening. I have been reluctant to "clean" or tweak it since it was a song I bought..not recorded myself..so I didn't expect it to sound like that. I'm waiting for a response from the company I bought it from, but I haven't heard back in a while. hmm.

what is that noise anyway?
oh well.

The company says it is the recording is the mechanical sound from the piano. It is a professional recording from a very well known pianist.

thanks

Hi Andy-

Thanks for your efforts. The project is done, but maybe I'd use the piece in the future.

(wabbit- the link is dead cause the link is dead!)

Well I missed the clip, but it sounds like it could have been something from Glenn Gould, the premiere wacky Bach pianist. Not only did he have some noisy recordings, but he often made the noise himself by using a squeaky chair or humming while playing. This was odd since he was a perfectionist for his performances.

If not, then I'm not surprised by random piano noise. Many people don't know how to mic instruments properly. I even have some excellent Bach pipe organ music that has the annoying sound of the organ bellows in the background.

Oh well, it looks like it has worked-out for you anyway...
