Hi all, I am trying to render a video i just finished editing. I have mostly QT footage on my timeline 24p, does matter what format i render in CS3 wants to stop rendering and close around 70% through the render. COuld anybody please offer any suggestions I could try.. this is a big project for me and I'm about to pull my hair out... The error message says A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. WIndows will close the program and notify you of a solution. Thanks in advance all!

All I can suggest to start with is to try and render to a different codec and see if that helps.

Maybe try a windows media codec .... if it goes through then perhaps Premiere is having an issue with rendering to Quicktime.

I have had problems with getting Premiere to render to Quicktime .mov files before.

try to prerender the movie (..or at least the section that is choking on) in PPRO, and then try rendering out the single finished file. sometimes there is a frame or two that is using so much memory from effects and layers ect that after memory has dropped low from rendering out everything up to there, it will choke due to memory issues when it gets to that frame(s). ive run into a similar issue in the past but prerendering does the trick.

i did get a pop up that said something abut ppro was running low on system memory that I should save my project. But I'm running a quad core system with 750 gb hard drive and 4096mb of memory or 4g so i don't even know why i would be running low on any memory.. any way how would i prerender my movie... would i just go to make movie and select my file or would i go to adobe media encoder.

sequence -> render work area

..make sure you have you work area as the entire project. you can prerender anything at any time on the timeline to view realtime fullyrendered playback after its done. just search anything in the PPRo help menu if your not sure how to do something. its pretty handy :)
