please help: mounting my Bloom pocket dolly to my Miller Solo sticks

Total newbie at this,

Feeling really dumb and having some trouble figuring out how to mount my Philip Bloom Traveler pocket dolly to my Miller Sollo tripod.

First I happen to have two Miller tripod sticks: the Solo DV (to accomodate 75mm bowl) and Solo VJ (to accomodate 100mm).

(1) Which one (Solo DV or Solo VJ) would be better to use with the Bloom Traveler pocket dolly?

(2) Went and purchased the Kessler mounting ball but can't figure out how to properly fit the Kessler mount ball into either one of my Miller solo sticks.

Can anyone who has the Philip Bloom pocket dolly from Kessler and Solo DV or Solo VJ Miller sticks, please provide a link here to any pics showing proper setup.

Thanks very much in advance

The simplest method is just attaching a fluid head quick release plate to the base of the slider and then mount it on the head. Not needed to remove the head or attach a ball to the slider.

There have been a few threads about this, so look around. The one thing I have found is that mounting any slider to a typical fluid head leaves something to be desired as far as rigidity. The Kessler Hercules handles the load fine, but that isn't a normal head. There may be other high end fluid heads that will do it solo, but not many. Instead, do as PhotoNashville suggested, use a QR plate for you fluid head, but put it at one end, and then support the other end with a C-stand or even a lightweight light stand is OK. You could skip your tripod all together, and just use 2 C-stands. Your Kessler slider probably has pre-drilled holes at each end, if not, it is easy to do. Also, if you check out the DIY section, there are many threads about sliders, and member Zazacast has been very instrumental in home made gear.
