please help me find this light!

to me it looks like a chimera lantern (search B&H) attached to a pole. I've been on pro shoots and seen one attached to a portable HMI for an outdoor shoot. However, since those were all night shoots the light could have been tungsten. In which case you could just get the chimera mogul socket with built in speed ring. I'm in the middle of putting this exact idea together myself. If you want a low-cost DIY indie alternative, you can buy a paper chinese lantern and then attach a bare-bulb socket (the kind you can buy at HomeDepot or even WalMart) to the end of a broom pole. Then attach the chinese lantern to the end of the pole with the barebulb inside of it and run the cord down the pole (be careful to follow watt guides). My gaffer on my last film used this trick on some dialogue scenes really well.

How is that different from a chinese lantern?
Chinese Lanterns are very flimsy and discolor after a while. These versions are sturdier. Definitely look into a low cost DIY version because the versions I posted can be recreated for much less on your own I feel.

Checkout www.lanternlock.com This will solve the Flimsy chinese lantern issue....
They charge 60$ for sth gaffers have been doing for ages: keeping the bulp in place through some kind of wireframe/cage...
I eather spent the dime for a chimera or go full DIY - nothing in between...
