Please help, HVX- FCP

So I have been searching all over on this site and the internet, I shot a bunch of footage with the HVX to tape in squeeze mode, and now I am importing into FCP. My capture settings are for 29.97 for the frame rate thinking it's the same way with the dvx 100b. I then bring it into a seq. This is where my issue is, it is interlaced and I need to render all the footage. If someone would be willing to break down the steps for capture settings and seq. settings that would be awesome. I am on a serious deadline and have to get this cut. Thanks to any and all that help out.

cool but now I am having to render the video when I put it into the sequences. How can I avoid this? I shot with HVX in squeeze mode and 24pa. What should the sequence settings be? Thanks for the help.
