Please assist with pricing

I just interviewed for a possible video job although don't know exactly how much to charge. I'm hoping I can turn to my fellow DvxUser's for some advise :)

I have at least 10weeks to shoot a 2-3min high impact, dynamic and in your face clip that will be looped on 3 big flat screens in this clients display booth at their biggest convention of the year. Think Fuel Tv, cutting edge type graphics. This is a pretty well known company. They will supply whatever footage they can get, as far as B'roll. Although I will have to shoot some interviews with the CEO and product shots which will be incorporated within the clip. They want some heavy After Effects within it so this will definitely take up the bulk of the time. I'll also have to pick out the audio, so pretty much take the project from start to finish by myself.

I understand the price depends on the quality of my work and experience. I would say that my work is average with much potential. Here is a link so some of my most recent work, hopefully this will help aid in your assistance for my quote. Thanks so much in advance :)

I typically break it down into Pre, Producion and Post.
- Pre would be calculated by the time you spend planning and going to meetings, etc times your hourly rate ($50-100/hr depending on experieince).
- Production you can break down easily by number of days shooting (your day rate) plus grip and equipment rental and other expenses .If you own the camera then add what that camera woud rent for to your day shooting rate. I would think you coulld charge at least $500 for your day rate (10 hr day).
- Post: Yikes! this is going to be the big one in your case - I don't know how fast you are or graphically inclined but I would allow two weeks of your time on post. VO should be under $500, music is cheap if you know where to look.

hope this helps. But yes, I'm always interested on what daily DP rates are around the country.
