Yeah, I wouldn't expect for the PS3 to come down in price anytime soon, I don't think Sony makes that much of a profit off of the systems and the system is still relatively new with lots of great titles still to come.

I'm still waiting for P.K. to send me a $10 X Boy. We already moved up to PS2 at Christmas for around $140, with Lego Batman and the Justice League animated feature.

Exactly. I read an article awhile back that said the only company making any money on systems was Nintendo (and even they aren't making much on the Wii).

Yeah, I think when they first came out they were losing up to 100.00-200.00 per unit.

I know places like Best Buy and Future Shop (Canadian Best Buy) were selling the Xbox and PS2's years ago a few dollars under their cost. All the money is in the games.

I, too have been waiting for a PS3 price cut. Sick of waiting and getting it this week (mostly to use as a BD player). If the price goes down in April like the rumors say, I'll get a price adjustment. If the price doesn't go down, then I don't want to wait any longer anyway.

I love my PS3, not just for gaming but the Media Server option rocks. I watched most of the Lossfest entries on my big screen through my PS3. I think I use the Media Server more than anything else right now. Once I get a HDTV then the Blu Ray will come in handy.
