Playing music from the main timeline when playing the nested sequence-for music video

Is there a way to have the music from the main timeline playing in a nested sequence without having to import it into the nested sequence?

I am creating a music video where I have nested a sequence for the verse clips.

When I am editing the verse sequence and playing it, the music from the main timeline will not play so it makes it hard for me to edit in sync.

I could import the music into the nested sequence and make the nested sequence the length of the main timeline but I am wondering whether there is a better method of doing this?
