playing back Canopus HQ files issue..

so i'm tryin out edius 5 demo. I "printed to file" a canopus hq standard file of an HD project. I played the output file in windows media player and it plays at a faster frame rate...as if it were being fast forwarded.

the same file plays normally if dropped back into the edius timeline.

what's up with that?

I want full screen playback of my rendered videos, and at a normal speed, how can I do this?

I have the same problem on my new Quad Core Windows 7 64bit desktop. Not sure if that file is playable with anything out there. Maybe the Canopus hardware options let you play it.

I think you will need to install special codec to play HQ file outside Edius. Check out the download page from GrassValley website.

yeah sound like codec issue... try to "print out" into another format if this will work in demo mode to see if there are still problems.

I've just migrated to a Xeon Quad Core Win 7 64 bit workstation and now I have the same problem. Is there an known bug related to Windows 7 64 bit?
Export to Canopus HQ is something I was doing for years without any problems.
