I'm trying to watch some footage on FCP6 and transcribe the content into Word. If I start playback and click to type in Word, then playback stops. Does anyone know how to prevent this or a better way to transcribe the contents. Thx.
You could just export a quicktime movie and play the file back with quicktime player. That should run fine w/ Word open. If you need a TC burn you can just throw on that filter or I believe the latest version of QT has a TC reader aspect to it built in (but haven't used that first hand). Good luck.
Thanks VL. Are there any ways to do it through FCP6? That would save me hours and hours of time. I have over 25 hours of footage to go through and log. Unfotunately it wasn't done when the footage was imported. Opening file by file takes quite a bit of time in QT because they are all in one big external scratch disk. In FCP6 I have them already arranged into folders making them easier to find and log/transcribe similar footage at the same time. Thanks.
