Planes, Trains & Automobiles - again?

Every now and then, holiday travel makes life a little interesting for me. Remember my last year's Christmas odyssey? Air Canada cancelling my flight the day before Christmas, offerring to get me home at 11:30 PM on Christmas Eve through a three-legged flight?

Well, this time around, I just keep my fingers crossed. They cancelled my flight tomorrow (with no reason, and no - 24 hours in advance cannot be weather related, at least no yet. I wonder if I should charge them a change fee? ).

So I am going on a first flight out at 6 AM. Sweet. Wonder how you get a cab at 4 AM on a Thansgiving Day...

Tomorrow, I'll be thinking of John Candy, and how he made it all bearable for me...

Happy Thansgiving to all my American friends. May your turkey be well endowed and the cranberries sweet and sour.

Good luck with your travels. I hope you don't have to jump through too many hoops to reach your destination.

Ouch

Ouch

Jerry-

We feel your pain.

In fact, isn't air travel becoming increasingly unreasonably painful? At some point, people are going to just stand up and say, "No, dammit. I will not submit to your lie detectors, your 'random' searches (which somehow never seem to actually search Peoples of Arab Extraction), your video cameras, your 'sit down and remain quiet, Mr. No More Drinks For You upset air traveler' quips", and so on.

Some day, we're going to go all Jetsons on the air travel industry, and build a planetwide pneumatic tube system.

You heard it here first.

Hah! You think it's bad here, try flying in India. You have to show your boarding pass about 3 times just to get off the plane! That's after showing it 5 times, and going through 3 security checks to get on.
