I've got a Sirui T-005 that I use quite a bit with my 5dmkii and t2i. It's a GREAT travel tripod... very light and very portable. However, I've only ever used the ball head that it comes with. I'd like to get a fluid head; something like a Manfrotto 701hdv to use. Do you think that it would pair well with the Sirui? Or might the tripod be too light to provide a good base for pans and the like? Anyone here use these two items together?
If I need to get some new sticks, then I was thinking of something like the manfrotto 055XPROB. I can still use my Sirui for travel, but maybe the Manfrotto would be the one I use more often when space and weight isn't an issue. Are there other (more budget friendly) tripods out there I should think about if needed?
