Places to Buy P2 Cards in New Bedford?

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me out, as happens so often on here..


I'm buying a HVX in Jan and naturally I need some P2, a friend of mine is coming over from USA and says they can pick up a couple of 4Gb cards where they are $500 instead of £500 :)

The model number is the same on the ones you could buy in the states as the ones you buy in the UK, so does this mean NTSC P2 would work on a PAL HVX? Is there no difference? Anyone know?

Also does anyone know a shop (or database to find one) in the New Bedford area where my friend can walk in and pick up the P2...

any help much appreciated.
 
Not exactly in New Bedford, MA but your friend could try Great Northern Video in Concord, NH. You could also go to the Panasonic site, enter the zip code and display a list of authorized dealers in that general area.

I actually have family in New Bedford and I bought my HVX at Great Northern. But for just the P2 card, you will be able to find a place in Boston, which is about a 20 minute drive. There is a place called Boston Camera and you should double check, but they should carry it.

I bought my HVX200E in Switzerland and the P2 cards in the US - no problems at all.
 
One major advantage to Great Northern (other than the owner being a long-time personal family friend) is that NH has no state sales tax.
