PJ's Next Project? WHOA.

Awesome! It's been rumored to be destro... errr, I mean directed by Uwe Boll up untill now. With PJ at the helm I'm sure it's gonna be amazing. I'm actually playing Halo (the original, 1) on my Mac atm, as it's one of the few games available for it and I found it in the bargain bin, and I'm loving it. It could reallly make for a great movie, if done right.

EDIT: Hold on a sec... Just reread the article and it appears, that Jackson is not directing, only producing. But nonetheless, with PJ, WETA, New Zealand and 100+ mil budget there aren't that many chances for Halo to turn out bad... and none for Boll to touch it.
 
I think Halo is the most overrated video game of all time. Video game movies always suck! Although It'll make a LOT of money...
 
I've never been a LAN party dude.

Bond on N64 was a blast -- there is nothing better than having a beer with your buddy and shooting him in the head. And then Halo came along and you could have a beer with your buddy and shoot him in the head without him cheating off your screen.

Two of the greatest artists the industry has ever seen.(it's just that one is on one end of the spectrum, one is on the other).

But we should start that rumor though. Jackson hires Boll!!! Tell everyone!!!
 
I thought he was doing King Kong 2 next? Or did they do that at the same time as King Kong 1?
 
Halo has a better story that 99% of the dreck that hollywood produces...

anyone that is a fan of Bungie's work, specifically Marathon will understand how much they actually care about the story of their games..

I for one cannot wait for this film, knowing bungie's integrity as a company(as much as I am exposed to through their work that is), I'd say this could be the "one" that does it for video game movies.. of course to be a success it can't just a sloppy piece of ass with some first person camera stuff thrown in... errr Doom...cough

Now all they need to is to cast some smokin hot gal to play cortana and i am sold... perhaps the voice of her.. Jen Taylor.... IMDB her :happy:
 
I a halo fan and I still can't believe they are making a movie. Movie's based on games always suck. Its a rule. With PJ on board it gives me a little hope, but not enough, ESPECIALLY if Boll is still attached, good GOD!

remember when bungie said there would only bee a movie if Ridley Scott directed it? What happened with that? If PJ produced with Scott at the helm, now THAT would be something to get behind. :D

thats because they never seem to take it seriously. i think movie adaptations of video games could be really great if they got the right people to make it.

i think halo could be a great fun movie.

i also think the half life games could make cool movies too.
