Pixelization of Reds

Hi.

Somewhere in the forums I read that there is a Nattress filter that helps with pixelization that occurs most with red tones, but I cannot find it.....

I've attached an image representing my problem.

Info: 24PA; FCP5 captured at Advanced Pulldown Removal Anamorphic; 23.98 timeline.

If you have any ideas or insights, please let me know.

Not really a lot you can do about that- it's the nature of chroma sampling in DV and DVCPROHD. Really all compressed formats. But anyways, the filter you want is called G-Nicer. Go to nattress.com and buy it- dude's got two cute kids and wife to support.

The pixelization is much more severe under DV/DVCPRO, and it's greatly minimized under DVCPRO50 and DVCPRO-HD.

Graeme makes some of the best plug-ins around and is a tremendously helpful guy. G-Nicer should get you taken care of.

Okay, after a few e-mails, I have to say that Graeme is really cool! He really is very helpful and completely honest.
