Pixelated?

Hey guys, just exported an AVI uncompressed and put it on a DVD. However, the opening shot which is a red rose is slightly pixelated even on the DVD. The shot starts black and white and then fades to color. Anyone know what this might be? Thanks.
 
I don't know the answer to this question, but I can tell you this- you are not alone, this has happened to me a number of times. I sure hope someone can answer this one!
 
Pixelated or "blooming"? MiniDV (maybe regular DV too?) does that to reds. Applying some chroma blur will help.
