ok...my playback window is all pixelated and its pissing me off...how do I get the smooth look again?

Also does anyone know why my video capture drive would jsut stop working?

Check your preview window quality settings (a dropdown above the window) -- "draft" or "preview" will give you a low-quality picture.

Don't know about the hard drive -- what happened specifically?

I know what you are talking about...the draft and preview I think thats how I messed it up...how do I get rid of those or which one do I choose? they all seem to look pretty bad and its not my harddrive b/c this worked before.

"Good" or "best" for your preview.

Do you mean "smooth" motion or just plain clarity of the picture? If you mean "smooth" motion, Vegas is not a realtime NLE -- you'll have to prerender the section you're watching.

Your hard drive won't have anything to do with your preview quality; I asked because you said your "capture drive" quit working. What exactly happened?

ohhh....I want clarity for the window..and the capture issue...well when I tried importing video it gave me a bunch of crap that my camera capture drive or card cannot be found or something...and it switches to some microsoft capture thing that didn't work at first then it just magically started working after the 3rd try....and I haven't changed anything since I last imported video...so I don't know what is wrong

ok I tried Best(auto) and I guess that looks good...some pixels tho..but maybe its suppose to be like that and I jsut never noticed it
