Fantastic news! As if I wasn't in love with my PIX240 enough.

Any word on the 'Slate' feature request Matt?

I thought you needed a dual HD-SDI connection to do 4:2:2 & the PIX only have single inputs. Is it possible to do 4:4:4 over a single connection?
Single HD-SDI cannot do 1080 4:4:4. You need dual HD-SDI inputs *or* a 3G-SDI connection (3G-SDI is basically double the bandwidth of HD-SDI and provides the functionality of dual-link HD-SDI in a single connector).

The firmware notes says that this update now provides 3G-SDI on the video BNC's.

This is great news. I'm so glad I own this recorder. I only wish I had the PIX240i version with the IPS screen. I bought the older one just before the new one came out. Sometimes I wonder if I could do a screen swap; I know Sound Devices won't do it though. Can anyone confirm if there are any hardware changes other than the screen used?
