Pix E5 E5H uaer experience - frame lag/delay?

Hi,

I'm interested in a Pix E5H as a shoulder mount monitor for my Scarlet and as a 4K recorder for A7S bcam.

The reviews seem generally really positive, that it is an outstanding monitor - not just a recorder.

However, I'm concerned about the frame lag/delay which appears to be about 5 frames in this video:

How is the actual user experience?

I've also read the fans activate when recording but run when not, so to use this as a monitor alone how is the fan? Shooting in Australia in a range of climate.

Thanks!

I haven't tested the HDMI version of the PIX-E5, but the regular version didn't seem to suffer from any appreciable lag. It's a really, really nice monitor. I'm pretty set on grabbing the larger E7 version once it's available.

That's great to hear, thanks Mark. I need a decent monitor for shoulder mount work and it seems a no brainer to have a 4K recorder at the same time.

i have the e5 and no issues on lag for me.
my concerns is more on battery life and it gets hot to hold.

I'm hoping to run it primarily from dtap so I hope the power draw isn't such an issue. Is it really that power hungry compared to equivalent monitors/recorders?
