Ok, so in the middle of a 3.5 hour render, with 13 minutes to go, my render came to an abrupt halt. Why you ask? Because I dropped something on the keyboard!

DAMMIT, can't Sony at least put a CONFIRM on killing a render? ANY keyboard click stops it! So my solution is to now bring up a window over my render so a different program has focus should a key get pressed.

This is really infuriating...
 
Huh? As long as "Cancel" isn't highlighted, you can pound on the keyboard all day long. And if it IS highlighted, the only keys which will cancel the render are Enter and Space (and I dunno, maybe F10 or something).

But it's pretty easy to avoid even that by just clicking away from Vegas.
 
Sounds like your system went unstable. I've had it happen when I've rendered off the laptop.

Cancel is highlighted by default when you render. Nice popup comes up center screen with cancel highlighted.
