Pinkberry sucks!

Seriously, how can people eat this stuff? Just because it's fat free?! I was in Bev. Hills the other day and I wanted to see what the fuss was about (we're talking lines around the block to get in, although luckily not this particular day).

My wife was just going to buy a whole cup but I insisted on a sample first. One searingly nasty spoonful later and we strolled right out the door and right into the Cold Stone down the street.

Anyone actually LIKE Pinkberry or do you just tolerate it? Would you eat it if it weren't fat free, meaning would you eat it based on taste alone compared to real yogurt or ice cream?

It's not actually fat free.

It's 70 calories per serving, and that's just for the original frozen yogurt.

Small size = 1.4 servings, 98 calories
Medium = 2.2, 154 calories
Large = 3.6, 252 calories.

The coffee frozen yogurt is 90 cals per serving, the green tea one 50 cals per serving. So tack on all those toppings and this isn't really a healthy choice is it?

Pinkberry is ok (I tolerate it), people are kind of nuts about it in New York.

I've actually never heard it. It makes me think of my Blackberry haha. The pictures make it look tasty though. I guess we don't have it here in Canada. People will start a craze over things they THINK are healthy choices.

They've gotten a big publicity boost because of that American Express Plum Card commercial. But I think it's pretty nasty, too.

But, "fat free" is a magnet for some people. I had a roommate who would grab anything which said "fat free" on it. Let me tell you this -- "fat free" margarine? Don't do it. Just eat less margarine.

I agree. My friends down here in LA are obsessed with it - honestly, I don't see anything all that special about it (especially not for 5 bucks!).

It's not actually fat free.

I see your point about calories - but looking at the link you posted it IS actually fat free.
It may have from 70 to 252 calories per serving, but zero calories are from fat.

Regardless, I have no idea what this stuff is.
I guess it hasn't made it's way to Austin yet.
