Pimp my ride effect

Im editing someting for a friend and he want me to use the effect they use in pimp my ride when they show the car before and after. Is there a simple way to do it cause im helping him for free and i dont have time to spend on that.

I know what your talking about but I think your going to need some sort of plug in to do that effect. I am not sure if there is something within FCP that will do that like it is on the show. Its almost like doing a Morph from the old car to the new car.
 
Actually if you have two similar objects (the vehicles in pimp my ride) and place them and the camera in the same place and disolve from one to the other you would be surprised at the rusults. I found this out by accident doing a disolve for something else and that's what it reminded me of. When the disolve occurs you can also add some blur in there to make it work even better.:)
