picture shakes during pans

Everybody,

My DVX is doing something strange and it seems to be happening more frequently. Occasionally during pans (even slower ones) the image appears to jump briefly. It's as though the CCD weren't fastened down and sort of moves out of place to the left or right and then back real fast. It only seems to last for a frame or so. I can post a clip as an example, but I thought first I'd check and see if anybody knows what I'm talking about.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Anything I can do to fix it?

Sounds like your Optical Image stabilizer (OIS) is on. Use it only while the camera is hand held. To turn off, push the button behind the LCD on the lower right.
 
Thanks, that's probably what it was. Had I been aware the DVX did stabilization, I probably would have checked for that! Now I know.
