Is it possible to do a picture-in-picture with Vegas (v5)? I would like to have one video clip running full frame and then lay over it a smaller video window in the corner running another video clip. Is this possible and how do I do it?
 
-create two video tracks.
-the top one should be the small one in the corner
-the bottom one should be the background.
-on the top video clip, click the event pan/crop icon and you will be able to reduce the image by grabbing the corner. then you can drag the image to wherever you want it.
 
You can also simply use the cookie cutter FX, giving you different shapes/borders that you can have the PIP in. In that case, you'd kind of do the reverse of what TheMacB said ... your track that would be in the smaller window would be the bottom track so it can show through the window.
