Picture Identify

I found an old photo print in an antique store that amused me enough to pay for it. Now I'm trying to figure out who took the photo and who is in it.
Anyone recognize the photo or face?

I could only scan a portion of the picture, so it is cut off on the left and on the bottom.

Man...that could be ANYTHING!

It could be some famous person from the time...or it could be somebody's mom posing for a hobby shot.

It sure would be incredibly interesting if someone COULD identify it though.

I know, I know, but I have to try! While I may be an old soul at heart, I am young and don't have too much exposure to the older stars and famous people. If the photographer/model were popular, some of the older folks on this forum will have a better chance of recognizing the photo.

Plus, the back of the photo has the remains of a barcode, so it was probably sold in bulk.

I vote for the mom story, and hope the grandson doesn't find out what grandma did in her youth!

My high school film teacher had a HUGE backdrop of a photo donated by somebody. It depicts a Warner Bros film and the director, assistant director, DP, and actors are all in the shot. You know it's from Warner Bros because it was stenciled on a light, unless they borrowed it. I sent it to TCM & Warner Bros Archives and neither could figure it out, and really all you need to identify are the actors and then maybe you'll find the film with the scene.

Somebody might be out there who knows that face just like there's somebody out there for the Warner Bros photo.

I'd like to see that picture!

I'd settle for knowing what kind of car it is.

My vote is for a 1956-7 Studebaker President Classic...

My brother sent me this image, which he says is from Studebaker 'ice testing' one of their cars. I wonder if the Studebaker Company might have produced the pic you bought?

I was able to partially restore the barcode and description on the back (before cleaning it off altogether) and it did have the year 1956 on it. Said something ike "1956 Ice Covard (Covered?) Car".

That does seem to look like the exact model from what is able to be seen under the ice!

Either way, it'll fit very nicely on a wall in my mid-century modern bedroom!
I was hoping it was some actress or model, but the idea that it is some random grandma (by this time) does give another reason to laugh!

Here's the photo I mentioned that's looking for an identity.

It was in four pieces. Unfortunately the right half of the photo (part of the light and actor & actress) remain. The crew went in the garbage. Anybody here dress like them on a film set?
