The new features look very cool.

I'm still on CS1, do you know if there is an upgrade to CS3 or do I have to get CS2 first?

Apart from some cool features, I don't know what's that latest trend with the weird interfaces. It would be better if they focused on improving existing algorithms than trying to establish a intuitive interface that for me is only a marketing point.

And to expand on that, all these shiny looking interfaces just add more load to the hardware. Take for example Steinberg's Cubase latest version.
Over 50% of each running code while running, is for protection. Go figure.

I don't get why they haven't just incorporated "Lightroom" into photoshop instead of using Bridge still. Isn't lightroom supposed to get rid of the need for bridge anyway?

So far it seems a lot faster. I applied a couple filters to photos that were 10MBs + and it was very zippy on my Mac Pro (about 4-6 seconds) . . . where as in CS2 it would take a good 30-40 seconds. The filters also seem to work better on larger files. In CS2 the filters didn't seem to work as well on bigger resolution files as the did on smaller ones.

I have it loaded on my MacBookPro, it's nice, peppy and works well. Smart filters are super nice and every filter can be used as one, which is more than I expected. The quick selection tool also is handy for doing quick and dirty selections.

It's really buggy, sometimes my marquee selections don't show up when I make a selection and on mactel's the brush icons (erasers too) don't show up making it really hard to see what you're doing. I guess you have to leave a few things fubar to make people want to buy the full version.
