photograph: a transcontinental film project.

the idea is simple; take a photograph and tell a story. that's what this project is about. it's open to filmmakers world wide and it gives all filmmakers an opportunity to meet new people and have their films seen.

I like the idea. I don't like the photograph much, but I like the idea anyway.

Re: photograph: a transcontinental film project.

the photograph was chosen for many reasons. we wanted it to be a photograph that could be replicated throughout most of the world. so that was limiting. and we also wanted to get the most varied entries possible. and this seemed to be the best picture to work with.

I'm not trying to be directly critical of it, it just doesn't immediately inspire me personally in any way. I think that's what I should have said.

Cool project though. If I had some time, I'd gladly participate.
