Photo Galleries

[infokill]

Can anyone recommend a freeware photo gallery app.?
I want to set pu a site with some work on it, but a lot of the galleries i've come accross are to complex, have to much going on in the page and take away from the photo, etc etc.
The best one i've found was autoviewer, but then found out that the flash compression softens the image and dulls the colors slightly. So now im leaning away from flash.
I just something simple where its just a page with the thumbnails, click on the thumbnails and you get the photo.
Any suggestions? lol

Have you tried simpleviewer? I like it... really simple layout so you can focus on the pictures.

I have, but i dont know if you've noticed, but the flash gallery softens your photo's a bit. it also brings te resolution down a bit. I didnt notice right away but then i read on thier site that it does. the layout and interface is great though. thats what i've been using up until now.

If you have microsoft frontpage there is a nice easy to use gallery builder for you. Here is a lil gallery I made with it in about 5 minutes. http://www.jeffheit.com/photogallery.htm

If you have a Mac, then why not just get a .mac account and use iWeb?
