We recently start to offer Photo Booths at weddings. It was so much fun! Photos were printed in 12 seconds. All the digital files are available for download by the wedding guests. Here's some fun pics

I used to think that was too distracting at a wedding that guests have their own fun. But after observing the last few photo booth we offer, it was a great idea. All the guests can get their own souvenirs right away (and download the digital file later).. and it was fun just to browse all the photos too.

These will eventually saturate the market... I've shot some weddings... including those that had these... and all I could think is, "that's the EASY money right there!"

In the right crowd they're a big hit. Seriously... I've been contemplating doing one myself for nearly 6 months now. Some days I hear that niche is suffering (in the midwest)... but I've only been to a few weddings that had one... and they've always been a hit.

What do you charge for setting up the booth? Did you consider charging for the downloads?

This is a great idea.

I helped a friend out at a gig a couple years back (a Christmas party for a company that did airplace maintanence), where he shot group photos of peopel against a greenscreen, he photos were wirelessly transferred to Photoshop running on a PC, and a script ran every few minutes that would insert a background. Worked great, aside from the unfortunate people wearing bright green earrings, or with green hair highlights, or with green clothes. Being drunk, they just. Wouldn't. Understand.

This really is a great idea that I've been noticing getting more popular. Around here there's been booths, or even just a stationary photography next to a background who would take pictures of guests whenever they came by (similar concept).
Do you use a set backdrop, offer chroma-key with backgrounds, use a "booth" or ??
I'd love to know more about what people who do this use. If you don't want to divulge the secrets, understandable :)

This looks like a great idea. Do you offer franchises?

We do OEM our service. Say like you can sell us as part of your service. The day we show up without LA color branding. The artwork can also be customized to show your company logo too. We have a special price for vendor too.

It is really a booth that we built. There're different backdrops for the bride to select in advance. Nothing like chroma key.. but I think that will be a great idea =)

That is a great idea -- I love it! You really should create a 'pod' (well booth) that is standalone and runs by itself then you could just drop it off at events and collect it later
