Hey guys,

I've been busy in the dark, and finally my website is reached its first milestone, its still in development phase so its constantly changing, there is probably lots of bugs thats expected at this stage.

anyway please go easy on it, its running off my personal development server from home so don't expect the speed to be fast, its a little slow when it first loads, after that it should be ok.

ignore 90% of the content, its all going to change anyway (most of it)

feedback is most certainly welcome..

First impressions, imo:

I like the colors and the toon sketch looks great. Keep those.

I think I'd move the personal intro into a drop down menu link titled something like "About" or "Contact" or something similar.
It seems too personal at first since you must assume the majority of people will not know you and will want to see some of your work first.

Then, if they would like to learn more about you personally then have that extra 'About" link with contacts and stuff, in that vein.

If you have to have something on the front page I'd keep it very simple and short.
A short welcoming message basically.

Let peoples interest guide them through the rest of the menus.
Maybe a few thumbnails showing your interests. Sample image-links or somethink like that.

//Edit: I'm curious as to why you chose the .info extension. It has often been associated with viruses and fake sites. Just curious.

I like it. Knowing that this is beta, and that content and possibly some organization of the site will change, I think it has a clean and functional feel. Leans more towards the tidy and mechanical rather than artistic which appeals to me, but possibly not others.

my 2 cents worth.

Thanks Gord, great feedback, I'm noting this one down.

as for the .info it was on offer for £1.00 for the whole year :)

Nice looking site, Anhar.

- But I would definitely lose the .info extension. There's a reason why it was so cheap. It's obvious your site is going to provide useful information so you want to make sure nothing is going to stop people from visiting or question your sites legitimacy, before they even visit.

- Also, the quality of the images in the header are really bad. It looks like they've been compressed. The "Beta" image has a lot of artifacts and the cartoon has some rough edges (white). Clean those up.

That's just the stuff I noticed upon first viewing. I'll take another look when I have more time.

You're definitely heading in the right direction. Good luck!

Thanks Kirk & Muonwave! I'm going to rework the header so hopefully it will be improved vastly.

I'll hunt around for a better associated domain, in the mean time I'll use this one for dev.

yes I like this idea, I'll implement something like this!
