Phantom HD

[artistiam]

Is it worth the money b/c I might buy one in take please or I'll be getting a couple of hpx-500's.

The phantom is $100,000 and that's not for the extra lenses and stuff but I'll be shooting music videos I know I could even get a couple of HVX but this is for a new record label and I want HD cameras only.

Please share. I'm still doing my research about this camera.

barry green has a write up on the hpx 500

you might want to try to sending him a pm since he has used the camera and knows its strengths/weaknesses.

If you have enough for a $100K camera, I'd consider a fully tricked out red with some sweet cine lenses.

thats a high speed camera? Pretty cool, but is that what youre looking for? Id advise the tricked out red (double the res if your looking for that "true HD"), and youd still have some pocket change in comparison to that phantom...

[artistiam]

Tricked out Red it is now I don't have the money but the record label I work for does BIG SMILE

I'll keep you posted when is it shipping?

Good call! 2k 120fps goodness with s16mm lenses!

Don't expect to pick one up this month...

I would say get the HPX packages. This way you will have a backup camera. I don't think you will be able to get a RED camera this late in the game until 2008. Phantom HD is a rental item.

You guys see the demo reel yet?

1000fps? Wow and I thought my hvx's 60fps was cool....

[Beat Takeshi]

wow, very surreal feeling to the images.
