Performance with FCS2

Can't afford a Mac Pro so I currently have a Dual-Core 2ghz Power Mac. The PCI-Express version. 4GB DDR2 Ram, X1900 Video Card, 250GB HD. I was wondering if anyone had a similar setup and what kind of performance you were seeing with FCP 6, Motion 3, Color, Rendering, etc. Any additional hardware that might be helpful? Thanks.

Well, I can tell you I have an older setup - and my system is working jsut fine with FCS2.

I have a dual 2.7ghz (not dual core)
2.5GB of Ram

I think you'll be fine.

Check out Apple's Requirements
They recommend a 1.25GHz processor minimum.
So with a dual 2Ghz, you shouldn't have any problems.

Heck, the first Mac I installed FCS2 on was a G4 Powerbook and it worked. Motion was super-slow, but it still ran.
