i believe this is Pentax' first full-hd dslr.

what interests me with this unit is that it can take AA batteries as well as a lithium (no worries if you want to go into the jungle for a few weeks and have no option f charging batteries)

the choice of fps is odd (unless north american version follows)

there is a external mic input (read this on the pentax forum and not the press release)

not sure about codec or manual controls

This thing definitely not made for movies.
At least in it current state.

The in body stabilisation might make this cameras video mode quite good especially with primes.

Vitaliy, I hope you can get your hands on this new Pentax! I really like the sound of the high ISO specs (51,200 max) which I hope may be usable in video mode. I am not familiar with Pentax and I can't see any mention of how the k-5 AF works when shooting video.

Well at least it's MJPEG and not AVCHD.

Found out there is no continous AF in video mode, and no full manual control of exposure, though you can set aperture.
