Pencil mike for camcorder

[Stevie Z]

I saw a an article re Roasanne or Patricia Arquette (I forget) a little while back doing some documentary stuff on a little camcorder. There was a picture of her cam and on the top there was this trik little mic attached to the shoe about the size of a pencil. Any idea where I might get one of those?

Regards...

I guess it was a "tiny mike" from a German company called Ambient.

Or may be it was an AKG C747

The original AKG version only takes phantom power but there's a french audio company who's selling a modded version that takes DC from the mic jack of Sony consumer cameras and mounts on the hot shoe.
