has anyone taken Pelican 1550 as a carry on luggage on a plane?

I flew to South America from NY with no ploblem. Just place in on the overhead comparment

Technically speaking the 1510 or 1514 (with dividers) is the largest carryon allowable, at 45" linear dimensions (l+w+h) and has rollers and padded handles. To me a 155o ought to be allowed, it's no bigger than those huge carryon luggage units people take, but they can make you checkin even a 1520.
