First of all, thanks so much to all who took the time to enter our little "Win a Pegasus" contest. We've finally taken the covers off the Pegasus system.

A few folks had expressed the desire to vote here, instead of joining our forum. To that end, JR was kind enough to allow a poll posted here. The challenge was to shoot a max 120 second commercial for a product that no one knew about....all they had was the name. To say that we're really impressed with the work is an understatement. We'll close down the polls on Monday and announce our winners.

Please check out the entries and vote!

Cheers,
Dennis.

Oh man, I laughed so hard at Dave Collupy's entry. It was so weird.

Thanks! We had a blast making it. It was a whirlwind of about a day and a half, but I was really happy with the final result. We had a good laugh! :D.

Oh I laughed all right. The piece had me thinking of the Bernstein Bears "Inside, outside upside down"...less the fork of course :-)

ok, ive gone back over the entries about 6 times now - just because im curious as to what new media paradigm (or at least inside joke) that im missing...?

but entries 1 and 5 are absolute ameatureish crap - my mom could probably do a better job. 2 and 10 at least have some general form (or mocked form) of contiguous narrative. and 8 actually feels like someone whos actually been paid to make a video before.

i know - I KNOW, i sound like a complete and total asshead. and im really not trying to - but im just so dumbfounded that there is such an overwhelming tilt toward productions that i wouldnt even think of entering. now i know, there was a short deadline, and you do with what you have. but, im just feeling like either there is some artificial standard that ive been WAY overshooting for for the past decade or so - or there is an inside joke im just not privvy to...

im being serious gang - im really not trying to be mean. i would really like some feedback as to why folks think these two are good.

How is it we had 7 votes yesterday and suddenly we have only 4 today?? It's getting kinda fishy with this voting thing. All the votes that had been cast on Cinevates website were wiped and now votes are vanishing on this one.

I can absolutely guarantee that no votes were wiped on our side. This contest was intended to be a fun way to launch a product..and yes, we didn't give folks too much time. Keep in mind too that we did not tell anyone what Pegasus was until Tuesday...and the entrants had no idea of it's value. It could have been a $100 part, or a $10 000 part. We're very happy to have seen the participation we did, and certainly appreciate any effort expended in that area.

Thanks again for your votes and opinions :-)

Cheers,
Dennis Wood

The polls were all set to expire last night...so factoring three forums in, the popular vote on our forum, DVXuser, and Scarletuser were all the same:

1. David Hong -> Pegasus "Heavy Lifter" system
2. Brad Crawford -> Pegasus 1 metre "carbon"/table dolly system
3. Charles Lowthian -> Pegasus slider (trucks and end-blocks) "starter" system.

The remaining entries will get the swag package and credit note

So guys, we'll be in touch! I'll be posting up our own thoughts/team feedback on the pieces but for me personally, Matze floored with me with his historic footage and Bryan FieldHouse's entry made my day sonically.

Next time we'll do a blind vote so you won't have any idea on the winners until they're announced! The end result of this, other than a very cool product launch, is that we've learned a great deal and certainly made some serious improvements to the web site that will stay with us. So a big thanks for participating, and stay tuned for the next launch we cook up
