I don't do the updates and patches either and don't have problems at all. maybe I'm getting weird here but if the dept of homeland security is asking me to get fixed up, I'm kinda thinking "Oh yeh, what little code have you guys workrd out that I need to get like NOW so you can walk into my system by some sneakilly planted backdoor upgrade planted in a security patch...I trust no one!
